Previously, she worked in banking for 12 years in financial markets, strategy, M&A and debt advisory roles at top tier banks in South Africa. She has a depth of experience in B2B client service, strong strategic knowledge of the banking industry and a track-record in delivering high-value, cross functional projects. Her interest in the role of technology in creating innovative new value propositions pre-empted her transition into the digital asset space after completing her MBA at IMD Business School (Lausanne).

Teana is currently focused on digital assets and financial services strategy, regulatory/ governance advocacy and policy development. Thomas is a member of the Sygnum Group Executive Board and he heads the Sygnum business units, which include all of Sygnum’s Digital Asset Banking services: Tokenization, Trading, Custody, Staking, Crypto Compliance & Regtech and Lending. He was also previously Head of Client Services at Sygnum. She holds an MA in Global Economy & Strategy from Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea and an MA in International Affairs and Governance from the University of St. Gallen (HSG).
